View Inchcape Shine launch video
Shine award & recognition program was launched in February 2008, giving all employees access to a physical and online recognition cheque book, each containing 12 recognition cheques per quarter. Every employee is encouraged to write specific ‘values’ cheques to colleagues that recognise excellent behaviour in accord with Inchcapes values.
Information from this recognition activity is gathered on an online database. Managers are provided with passwords that enable reports to be generated, highlighting key recognition activity data and evaluation against performance metrics. Supporting collateral and a dedicated web site enables all employees to understand the program parameters and structure. The web site is regularly updated recognition examples and information on award winners. A live feedback page invites employee comments, encouraging participation and involvement in the ongoing development of the program.
